Once more we tip our hat to the classic, Ever-Ready Lucite brushes of years past with The Cyclotrode X. We also once again tip our hat to the iconic American film serial of the 1940's, The Crimson Ghost! *Bonus points to you if you caught the reference! If you didn't, no big deal but please check out the reruns on youtube for a real throwback treat!

You see both of these classics come from the same decade and by this time you know how I roll when it comes to themes and piling up not only the value but also the related themes! Note: The Original N500 was one of the industry's early nylon brush models also! Possibly the grandfather of the modern synth knots we know and love...but truly pale in comparison. That is unless you like the feel of bundled up nylon fishing line across your face! So a real fitting tribute if you ask me!

We also felt it high time to deliver a Glow in the Dark shave brush to pair with our other Glow in the Dark releases; shave soaps, CUBE, El Fantasma Slant Razors, etc. The Cyclotrode X will really complete your next thematic SOTD I promise!

But apart from the sheer novelty of The Cyclotrode X, it's also a damn fine piece of shave tech! It feels great in the hand; substantial and durable. Oh and the 24mm Perihelion Hybrid Synth Brush is truly something special and the cherry on top! This is the same synthetic fiber knot we introduced the world to with our Doppler brush, and the same knot that inspired many a request for a 24mm version! Well Shave Cadets, HERE IT IS! An Homage to the N 500

If you have been following us for any length of time you know rebooting/reimagining classics is where we shine, um...glow. And this release is no different, but rather than go entirely Lucite looking we decided to have some fun using some Glow in the Dark effects too! I really thought it would be cool to backlight the logo. It's a really cool visual result I think fans of the brand will appreciate! 

Think a revolver cylinder and an hourglass melded together in some sort of radioactive lab experiment gone awry and you get the idea. In short, I wuzzled* this one. (*my generation will catch this other obscure reference me thinks too.)

The Cyclotrode X really is a badass brush and I swear I came up with the name and logo long before the recent Twitter name change I promise! Just been waiting for October to drop it!
