There is nothing more classic a scent in wet shaving, especially in the last 20 years, than Proraso Green Splash! The only real problem I ever had with this juice is how close to the skin the scent was when worn...not a bad thing at all. In fact, for a traditional aftershave, this is on point. However, the scent just rocks! I'm a firm believer in "leave them wanting more" but this was too much and I wasn't alone on this. Many folks over the years wanted a matching soap. I can hear some of you now, "but there is a matching shave cream Doug!"

That's kinda true, but not really. Though there is a Tube of cream in the line, it is more complimenting than matching. Meaning, the scent is not the same though it does share similar dna. The cream I find to be menthol and Eucalyptus, and that's pretty much it. Great stuff still and will certainly wake you up in the morning but not a perfect match. Once more, this is perfectly in line in past tradition when it comes to aftershave and shave soap. Like William's Mug Soap & Aqua Velva often sold as a pair, and pair they do, but they are not the same.

What's Inside?

Allantoin: a naturally ocurring nitrogenous compound used as a skin conditioning agent. It can be derived from animals, however the allantoin we use is derived from plants.

Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides: from coconut oil and glycerin, it’s considered an excellent emollient. It’s included in cosmetics due to its mix of fatty acids that skin can use to resist moisture loss. This ingredient’s value for skin is made greater by the fact that it’s considered gentle.

Vegetable Glycerine: is derived from soy and is used in cosmetics and body care products to assist in retaining moisture. It is invaluable as a natural source ingredient with emollient like properties which can soften the skin.
