We begin our Doppelgänger Continuum Series with an homage to a legendary leather fragrance that has stood the test of time.
Among the most celebrated leather fragrances is Cuir de Russie by Chanel, a scent that has captivated fragrance lovers for nearly a century. Originally marketed to women, it quickly gained a devoted following among men, thanks to its bold composition of leather, musk, and tobacco. The Cuir de Russie style has been explored by multiple brands over the years, each interpreting its smoky leather character in their own unique way.
Our Interpretation of a Timeless Leather Classic
It all starts with the crisp snap of bergamot and citrus, like that first breath of frosty morning air. A heart of florals unfolds: rose, carnation, iris, jasmine, and ylang-ylang blooming amidst a rugged landscape. These blossoms intertwine with a sturdy note of cedar, a nod to the dense forests that frame the vast plains.

Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides: from coconut oil and glycerin, it’s considered an excellent emollient. It’s included in cosmetics due to its mix of fatty acids that skin can use to resist moisture loss. This ingredient’s value for skin is made greater by the fact that it’s considered gentle.
Vegetable Glycerine: is derived from soy and is used in cosmetics and body care products to assist in retaining moisture. It is invaluable as a natural source ingredient with emollient like properties which can soften the skin.
