Awesome!!! New to wet shaving however for me it was perfect amount of menthol, lathered very well, and left face with clean feeling without feeling oily. Used the frost pre shave soap prior and just a great relaxing experience.

This is the craziest shave soap you will ever try! But it's a must buy! Great after a long hot day at work, or to really wake you up in morning! Freeze you to your core and keep you cold for couple hours after! But just like their other soaps great lather, great smell, great slickness/protection! What more could you ask for!

This is my favorite one. Not because I particularly like the smell but I like the chemical reaction between the menthol on the skin.

Not sure if you have Eclipse mints in USA? But if you do - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eclipse_%28breath_freshener%29 they make your mouth all minty and cold. This product feels exactly the same way except on your face. A really nice fresh feeling to start your day. Chemical reaction wears off after 10 or 20 minutes which is unfortunate.

Only criticism with this one is I think the menthol reacts with the soap. It makes it a little gluggy & hard to lather. The protection is still fine. Though this product would be perfect if they could some how make it have the consistency fluffiness of all the others.

Frostbite is the first soap I tried from PPA even though I ordered a few :). Frostbite is amazing, great slick/thick lather and the menthol cool is just sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. Douglas's soaps are easy to whip up a lather and the after shave feel is great.

Douglas keep up the great work brother, you have a customer as long as you sell shave soaps.

Frost Byte shave cream and lather booster offer one serious deep freeze of a shave! I found I have to start shaving very quickly after applying as this stuff really packs a punch. The results are fantastic. I used to go for the Proraso Green when I wanted a chilly shave, but this is next level stuff. I found this to be really nice on a hot day in South Florida. Definite buy.

You guys are mad scientists for creating this one. One of the craziest shaves I've ever had. This is on my top 5. Great job!

The best part was rising with cold water. It felt like I put my face in icy arctic water.

This is the best mentholated soap I have ever used! and probably in the top two soaps I have used period. Having moved from Chicago to SoCal, the heat can be killer here. Applying this cream to my face I had very chilling experience, and a fresh relief from the heat. It stayed on cold for all 3 passes of my shave. It also has a great peppermint, menthol scent also. I will be picking up 8oz container once I finish my 3.5 oz one. Get this one if you are really interested in a cold frosty shave.

Really good soap. Great performance as you would expect from PAA. The smell is refreshing peppermint (I can't detect the medicinal odor that was described), and the menthol is very cooling, but not dry-ice-on-your-face cool. I'm in Houston and have 8 months of summer... I suspect my 8 oz tin will not last too long.

This was my first Phoenix shaving soap, and I must say it is fantastic. The menthol is extremely cooling, and will be perfect for when the summer time hits. I first shaved with this in mid January but, because I live in the south, it was 66F outside, which gave me a nice preview for what I'll be using when the heat starts rolling in.

The lather this soap produces is thick, and almost never ending. A little bit goes a long, long way. If you bloom the soap, the two swirl pass is definitely possible (thanks to Nick Shaves and Anthony Esposito for including that idea in their youtube videos). I sprung for the 8oz puck, which will probably last me many summers. I used the ICE pre shave soap along with this, and they work great together.

The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the scent. It was bit too medicinal for my tastes. However, it isn't overpowering, and takes nothing away from the tremendous shave this soap gives. The Club Guy soap will more than likely be my next purchase, being that I love the original aftershave so much.

Scent aside, this is a 5 star product. I did have a small amount of irritation of my neck, but that could also be due to me breaking in my Phoenix Dbl OC, which is my first open comb razor, along with a fresh Vokshod. For now though, I love it, and will use it till my brush is scraping tin.
