A long lasting, citrus forward aftershave/cologne. Made up of lavender, rosemary, Sicilian citrus, Benzoin Resin, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, amber and light musk.

As with all of PAA's aftershave/colognes Aqua D is made of the finest skin food ingredients: Roman Chamomile Hydrosol, Lavender Hydrosol, Vegetable Glycerin, Aloe Vera, Alum and lastly that sex panther...Hedione! Great skin feel and all day projection.

Now, let's breakdown what/why what's inside is inside:

Roman Chamomile Hydrosol

Great for skin care, likely due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Traditionally used for rashes, rosacea, acne, burns and sunburn. Roman Chamomile Hydrosol analyzed consists of 5-33% esters and 11-23 alcohols and possesses the following properties: "antifungal, antiinfectious, antiinflammatory, antispasmodic, antiviral, bactericidal, balancing (to nervous system), calming, cicatrizant, decongestant, stimulating, uplifting.

Lavender Hydrosol

Lavender Hydrosol has a regenerative effects on damaged or fragile skin. Reduces all types of skin irritation and inflammation. A very cooling, light, natural astringent.

Vegetable Glycerin

Vegetable glycerin is derived from plant seed oils like palm, coconut, or soy. Being a Humectant it's easily absorbed into the skin, making active ingredients in our aftershaves easier for the skin to absorb as well. Vegetable glycerin isn't an additive that has no value (like some other sugars); it actually helps your body attract moisture and sop up healthy ingredients.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera has been used for a host of purposes since the ancient Egyptians!  Called by them the “plant of immortality.” - The Aloe Vera cactus plant that belongs to the Liliaceae family. It grows in dry climates such as those found in parts of Africa and India and has been used medicinally for centuries.

Aloe moisturizes the skin without giving it a greasy feel, so it`s perfect for anyone with an oily skin complexion. Aloe vera is used as an aftershave treatment as its healing properties can effectively treat small cuts caused by shaving.

Alum cools, tightens and tones. Also used historically to inhibit bacteria growth and as a cooling astringent. Seals and protects micro cuts on skin.

Although it has long been debated whether humans can actually communicate via pheromones - the chemical signals secreted by animals to help find a mate - Researchers have found that scent of Hedione generates ‘sex-specific activation patterns’ in the nasal tissue which links to the brain. It is the first time that a scent has been known to activate the pheromone receptor VN1R in humans.

“These results constitute compelling evidence that a pheromone effect different from normal olfactory perception indeed exists in humans,” says scent researcher Prof Hanns Hatt fro, Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany.

Hedione (chemical name methyl dihydro-jasmonate) – derived from the Greek word “hedone”, for fun, pleasure, lust – has a pleasant fresh jasmine-magnolia scent and is used in many perfumes.

It is synthesised from the organic compound methyl jasmonate which was discovered in 1957 and which is important in plants for seed germination, root growth, flowering, fruit ripening, and senescence.

So with all the products PAA offers and I could only pick on their after splash would be it. Yes the sent is great but let's face it many companies offer great smelling after shaves. For my skin this has to be the best AS I have ever used. Clears up any irritation quickly, really tones and moisturizers my skin and mind you I have only paired this with canned Barbasol. I am sure using a higher grade soap will only yield better results.

My advice, don't hesitate and pick up a bottle!!!

Gave this AS a shot and I'm glad I did. It's a very nice scent, true to the original, and a great performer. It starts out with a heavy citrus/lemon smell, but dries down to a more reserved, enjoyable scent that lasts for hours. Goes well with the ADP inspired shave soaps produced by Stirling and Razorock that are in my collection.

I really enjoy PAA's aftershave/cologne offerings. Their scents last for hours and are much cheaper than buying all of the actual colognes. I would also recommend trying PAA's Aqua D/G, CaD, and High Jump 47 products which smell amazing as well.
