1K = 1000 Members of the HTGAM G+ Community Forum! That's right folks, our humble little community has finally hit 1000 members and in celebration of such a momentous occasion I have created a very, very special aftershave/cologne, 1K! I'd like to thank all the guys and gals of the community that make it such a special place...this one's for you! Also specially priced for a limited time!

Congrats to Steve Davidson member 1K, a free puck is coming your way!

I figured 1000 folks is Good n Plenty...so with that in mind I decided to use that classic candy scent as the top note. Interestingly enough, the smell of Good n Plenty seems to be an aphrodisiac to women...you're welcome.

Be Sure To Pair w/ Our Killer 1K Artisan Shave Soap HERE!

I also added Hedione too, to seal the deal!  Hedione? Although it has long been debated whether humans can actually communicate via pheromones - the chemical signals secreted by animals to help find a mate - Researchers have found that scent of Hedione generates ‘sex-specific activation patterns’ in the nasal tissue which links to the brain. It is the first time that a scent has been known to activate the pheromone receptor VN1R in humans.

Hedione (chemical name methyl dihydro-jasmonate) – derived from the Greek word “hedone”, for fun, pleasure, lust – has a pleasant fresh jasmine-magnolia scent and is used in many perfumes.

It is synthesised from the organic compound methyl jasmonate which was discovered in 1957 and which is important in plants for seed germination, root growth, flowering, fruit ripening, and senescence.

For those of you with an aversion to all things anise 1K is a tad more complex thank just a straight up candy scent. This becomes apparent during dry down. Truly a rather sophisticated scent for a night on the town!

This smells like "good & plenty." I love the smell of licorice but my wife doesn't so i wont be a bottle purchase for me (only tried the sample). If you love that type of smell and so does your significant other you won't be disappointed with this.

1K is one of my least favorite scents by PAA. Full admission: I tried it as a purchased sample and wore it. But the aftershave is not bad and I think it's probably a very good product for a licorice (spelling?) scent. The thing is, and I kind of knew this before I ordered the sample, I'm not into these kinds of scents. But I giving it 5 stars anyways because I think for those that like this kind of scent they will find it an excellent product to wear.

Got this today and applied it like a cologne. The scent, in my opinion is a dark and slightly powdery one. If any of you have ever worn Obsession by Calvin Klein, this is very similar, but not quite as dark.

Added a sample size of 1K to my first order with Phoenix Artisan. Upon arrival I shaved and splashed this wonderful scent all over my face. This has quickly joined my list of top 5 aftershave scents and has prompted me to order the 1K shaving soap to compliment it. Great Job Phoenix Artisan!
